‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) is livid over the fact that Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord) pretended she was Abigail DiMera (Marcy Miller) for months, only to discover that she was a phony after they were married.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Cat Tricked Chad Into Believing She Was Abigail
As Cat will soon see, it’s never a good idea to mess with the DiMeras. Despite Cat’s guilt over pretending to be Chad’s dead wife, she still goes along with the ruse. She tries to steal Chad’s money for Clyde Weston (James Read).
Cat’s brother, Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson), flew to Paris to follow Clyde’s orders to kill him, but fortunately, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) stopped him.
Of course, we know that Cat and Mark only did all this because Clyde has been holding their mom hostage. Chad will want payback. The one factor that may work to Chad’s advantage is that Cat told him she was falling for him.
Chad’s children would have lost their father if someone hadn’t stopped him, and Steve had his doubts all along that Cat was Abigail.
Chad would never be like his father, Stefano DiMera (Joesph Mascolo), but he would undoubtedly pretend he has feelings for Cat and then dump her.
He could cozy up to her and tell her that he sympathizes with her situation with Clyde. Chad could string her along and make her believe his feelings for her are genuine.
He could go all in and pretend to want a relationship but then suddenly break up with her to make her feel what he felt when she gave him back the love of his life, only to have it all be a lie. Turnabout is fair play.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What If Chad Starts To Genuinely Fall For Cat?
The Horton family may be confused about why Chad went from being furious with Cat to suddenly wanting her in his life. Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) would be especially confounded.
Everyone would have questions, but if he’s going to pull off a little scam of his own, no one can be privy to his perfect plan. He must execute this in a way that appears authentic. Cat may wonder if he’s being truthful, but she’ll cast those doubts aside because she wants to believe him.
But what if he does end up falling for her? Even though Chad is still mourning the death of his wife, he may get to know Cat and become enamored with her.
Even though Cat deceived Chad in the worst way possible, she has some admirable qualities. She obviously didn’t want to do what she did, and she did step in front of the gun when Mark had intended to shoot him.
We’ll also never really know whether Cat would have been able to carry out her plan. She would steal Chad’s money, give it to Clyde, and then disappear, never to be heard from again.
When Cat recited her wedding vows, she seemed sincere. Chad must now come to terms with his wife being gone. Maybe he can make room in his heart for Cat after all.
