‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers are excited at the news that Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) will be returning to Salem.
We last saw Bope in 2023 when it was discovered Bo was alive. His run ended when their son Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) shot him when he held a gun on Hope, but had it pointing skyward.
With Bo back in a coma, Hope then took him to a clinic to treat him and the pair were written off the show.
In the minute since, Reckell has said on social media he’ll come back in a second if the writers wanted him back, and now it looks like it’s happening.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Saying goodbye to Doug
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers are disappointed that Bo won’t be returning for the show’s 15,000 episode celebration and to say goodbye to Doug Williams (Bill Hayes).
Alfonso will be there along with a majority of the cast so pay their final respects to one of the legends of daytime television.
Fans hoped this would open the door for more appearances, but that didn’t happen. Alfonso has stated she left due to concerns about the scripts.
With the show’s head writer Ron Carlivati leaving the show, the new writers will be writing for Bo and Hope.
Tvinsider reported that the pair are currently filming their scenes and they should return to our screens in May 2025.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Celebrating 60 years
The show will begin its 60th season on November 8, and it’s been a fun ride.
The show hasn’t taken itself too seriously and is, in our opinion, the best written show on daytime. They have a little of everything and keep us guessing.
Since it is the 60th season and that’s a huge milestone, we expect the show to pull out all the stops.
Bo and Hope returning are a huge move in that direction, and we’re excited to see what’s coming. It’ll be a mix of fun and sad with the goodbye to Doug.
With Bo and Hope returning as the high point at midseason, it’ll be a hard one to top if it’s done right.
Talking to TVinsider.com (linked above), Reckell said: “Just like riding a bike. And thank goodness they keep one at the ready for me in Salem. This ride is one we know the fans are really going to love. Stay tuned!”
Alfonso added: “There is a saying I love: ‘Life takes you to unexpected places but love always brings you home’. Anyone who knows me knows how grateful I am to have all of you supporting me and welcoming me back when I’m back in Salem. These episodes with Pete will not disappoint.”
