‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers for August 8th reveal Chanel DuPree (Raven Bowens) is having problems. Meanwhile, Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) offers support to Abe Carver (James Reynolds). We’ll also see Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) with another reason to feel bad. Here’s what you need to know.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers For August 8: Help needed?
First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers tease there’s trouble at Sweet Bits. We’re not surprised. Last Chanel spoke about it, Talia Hunter’s (Aketra Sevillian) replacement wasn’t exactly living up to expectations.
So, we assume this new employee will cause some sort of problem. Might this be a way for Talia to get back to work? We’ll see. They’re definitely on better terms these days.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers For August 8: A friend in need
Elsewhere, Kayla gives advice to Abe. Lord knows Abe has a lot to work through these days after what happened. We’re sure he’s confused and frustrated about his lack of memory and why he can’t seem to get it back.
Not to mention, he’ll likely be feeling bad for the way he reacted to Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) badly-timed come on. Of course, we don’t see what Kayla can advise other than being patient and giving himself a break.
It’s nice to see Abe turned to Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) when he needed somewhere else to go and that he’s talking to Kayla about things.
It shows he’s at least accepting what happened and that these people are connected to him, even if he can’t remember them. Hopefully, this new situation can help take some pressure off and get Abe back to himself.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers For August 8: Guilty conscience
Finally, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Shawn has possibly had the shortest suspension ever. He’ll be back on the job August 8th, but he won’t exactly be enjoying himself. He’ll have too much guilt on the mind. Obviously, he’s still dealing with what happened with his father.
But now he’s also got to deal with being the reason Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is no longer on the job. Personally, we get that Rafe violated policy. But he’s still a grown man that had a consensual relationship with a grown woman, subordinate or not. And he never held his position over her head.
We believe Shawn’s actions were far worse and he really should still be at home. As was pointed out when Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) caught him, he could have hurt someone in the state he was in.
Not to mention he’s still walking free while Lani Price (Sal Stowers) is locked up for essentially doing the same thing—shooting her father. In her case, however, her father was an actual on-going threat to her mother’s safety. And she found Abe bleeding in the same room as him.
