Things are getting interesting in Salem with the new dynamic shift on the power paradigm, and ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers are looking forward to seeing how the latest storyline with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) plays out.

There’s so may directions things can go and with emotions still raw it’s not a surprised there’s been some back biting over Alex claiming his inheritance.

The biggest so far is him taking over as CEO of Titan after being handed controlling interest in the company.

Of course, not everyone was happy about it.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Lashing out

Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers) is a sweetheart, but she hasn’t been shy about ripping into Alex when the time came, whether it was justified or not.

We got to see some of her reasoning last week when she found out he was taking over Titan as CEO and lambasted him for being a womanizer and so on down the line.

In many ways, that can be construed as she’s standing up to him, but also that she’s dealing with some of her own insecurities at taking over as CEO and struggling with him.

It’s only natural since she was new to the job, but she also to outright accuse him of sabotaging the deal she thought she had in place so he could take it elsewhere to shaft her.

It was one of the truly real moments we’ve seen as anyone would lash out when we feel betrayed, but she never truly apologized for that, instead they formed a peace for Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston)’s sake when he was returning home.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Always the bad guy

With all of that being said, it was nice to see Maggie point out to Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) that Alex didn’t throw her to the curb and wasn’t as harsh and mean spirited as she made him sound at the Titan office.

It shows she had some time to think it over, and while she may believe he’s a manipulator, she won’t trash him to his father. Or cousin. Someone needs to do a Kiriakis family tree/flow chart.

Unfortunately, Justin and Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) haven’t shown themselves to be as kind as Bonnie immediately jumped to the conclusion Alex let it go to his head.

As it stands, Alex’s only friend that’s listened to him and understand is Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), but Maggie has shown she won’t listen to her when it comes to Alex, and “Days of Our Lives” Spoilers doubt the rest of the family will.

We expect things to get worse for Alex, especially when he learns he’s not Victor’s son and was caught up in Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien)’s con. He’ll have to jump through hoops to redeem himself when he’s not the bad guy, but that’s expected anymore.

Will Alex ever be good enough for his family? Let us know in the comments below and check back with “Days of Our Lives” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
