‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional Cheryl Burke has revealed that she has never had an orgasm through sexual intercourse.

This disclosure arrived on the back end of a intimate discussion about intimacy with a sex therapist called Miss Jaiya. And during the course of that process, Cheryl dropped a bombshell that was significant in light of prior love life.
The star had previously been in a relationship with Matthew Lawrence. The duo had been married for three years before they decided to call things off and file for divorce in February of this year. And yet, it appears that Matthew was not able to satisfy Cheryl in a manner that was expected.
In some comments on her podcast “Burke in the Game,” Cheryl said: “I’ve never really, I guess, had an orgasm before when it comes to intercourse. This doesn’t reflect on any partner I’ve been with. It only reflects on me.”
This begs the question: was there a legitimate explanation for why Cheryl was feeling this way? Well, the dancer expanded on how her upbringing may have played a part in the way that she views sex.
She has previously spoken on how she was a victim of sexual abuse during her childhood. This included a situation where she was apparently forced to watch pornographic videos. While the star did not go on to name the person that was responsible, it has had an impact on her to this day.
She added: “That [no orgasm] has nothing to do with the person. It has everything to do with me and my shame and my child abuse and my vulnerability and my trust in myself.”
It is not surprising, then, that Cheryl is taking some time out from dating before she gets herself in a better frame of mind over what she wants to do with herself going forward. With that being said, she has not put a definitive timeline on when she hopes to get out into the dating world.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “I am actually not ready for dating tomorrow, or maybe not next week, maybe not for another few months, maybe not for a year, I don’t know.”
