Before being let go from the hospital, the doctors claim that 24-year-old Damar was walking and showing his typical sense of humor. He will now travel to a facility in Buffalo where he will go through more testing. Before leaving, the doctors wanted Damar’s condition to get to “fair” or “good,” and on Monday morning, he achieved that goal.

As previously mentioned, #3 watched from his hospital room as the Bills faced the Patriots on Sunday in Hamlin’s honor. Doctors claim that when teammate Nyheim Hines returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, which sounded all the alarms in the ICU, Hamlin was actually leaping up and down. Although the development is a step in the right direction, it is still too early to talk about Hamlin’s football future, according to the documents, who claim to have accompanied him to the airport on Monday.

“He still has a little bit of a ways to go in terms of his ongoing recovery,” Dr. Knight said. “We’re thrilled to where he is today. He’s up, he’s walking around, he’s got an amazing, genuine sense of humor and his family is amazing and we’re happy he’s with them but in terms of any kind of conjecture to his future, that’s still significantly in the future and it’s gonna be up to Damar and a great team of physicians to help him.”

Following the announcement, Hamlin tweeted to his followers, “Headed home to Buffalo today with a lot of love on my heart. Watching the world come together around me on Sunday was truly an amazing feeling.” It was very great to witness the world come together around me on Sunday. He continued, “The same love you all have shown me is the same love that I plan to put back into the world n more. Bigger than football! ”
