Viewers were stunned last week when Evelyn bumped into a mystery man that she recognised from her past. Evelyn was unlike her typical self as she mumbled her words and was clearly rocked by seeing the man. Viewers were immediately convinced that she and Arthur had a past relationship.
Evelyn was actively trying to meet Arthur again despite playing down their relationship to Tyrone. She waited around Victoria Gardens in the hope of catching him, before she was then delighted when he asked her to go for a drink with him in the Rovers.

Evelyn is knocked back next week when Arthur doesn’t show up for the drink that he promised. She will head back home with her tail between her legs, and admits to Tyrone that he had stood him up. Tyrone will then go above and beyond to protect his grandmother, as he delivers stern words to Arthur when he sees him.
While many may see Tyrone’s actions as loyalty, Evelyn is furious with her grandson. She claims that he is getting too involved in her love life, and warns him away from repeating his actions. Tyrone is stunned, but reluctantly agrees. Arthur later asks out Evelyn for another drink, but will she accept again?
