For two people who are often joined by the hip, this is definitely sus, as the kids say these days. Chris Cuomo was suspiciously absent when his wife, Cristina Cuomo, was out and about for a soiree in the Hamptons this past weekend.
This comes during the same time that Chris is being questioned for supposedly blurring the lines in his relationship with his brother Andrew Cuomo and whether or not he advised him during his sexual harassment allegation case. Andrew has since resigned as the Governor of the great state of New York after a report found that he mistreated at least 11 women during his tenure in office. Here’s what you need to know.
Chris Cuomo’s Wife Cristina Steps Out For Hamptons Bash Without Her Husband
According to Page Six, Cristina was hobnobbing at Calissa in Watermill this past weekend, but without her husband. Instead, she was “with four girlfriends, ordering a bottle of vodka and watching Questlove DJ.”
“She is always out and about — she runs Purist,” added the source, referring to her wellness publication.
Back in May, Chris was forced to apologize for joining in strategy talks about his brother Andrew Cuomo. And while a lot of people believe that Chris Cuomo crossed an ethical line here, CNN doesn’t think so. Or at least, they don’t think this is a big enough problem to have him sidelines. When asked why Chris wasn’t disciplined for joining the calls, CNN President Jeff Zucker simply said that he made a “mistake.”
“I am not surprised that Chris had conversations with his brother,” Mr. Zucker said. “Who wouldn’t? But he did cross the line by doing it with his brother’s aides present.”
However, Chris, for his part has apologized.
“When my brother’s situation became turbulent, being looped into calls with other friends of his and advisors that did include some of his staff — I understand why that was a problem for CNN,” he said.
