CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Adam Newman is looking to get a fresh start with not only Newman Enterprises, but with his father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), too. The two of them are finally in a place in their lives in which they both understand how important their family and the future of their business is. What’s more, they also want the same things. Here’s what you need to know.
Mark Grossman, who plays Adam Newman on the hit CBS soap, tells Soaps in Depth in a new interview, “Deep down he wants Victor’s approval, he wants Victor’s love -even though he doesn’t want to admit it. At the gala, when the gamily was together, Adam was jealous of the relationship Nick and Victoria have with Victor. So while this incident with Victoria is unfortunate, it’s really an opportunity for Adam to step up and try to be part of this family.”

However, ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers tease that Victor will be hesitant to accept his son’s offer. That’s because you never really know what’s going in Adam’s head. Mark Grossman agrees. He continued, “We always have to wonder if he’s being genuine or if it’s simply a power move. Is he making this offer so he can then take over, or is he doing it to mend his relationship with his father? We never really know what is Adam’s motivation.”

With that said, ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers also indicate that Victor will need time to think about his son’s proposal. Ultimately, Victor will tell both Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that Adam might be the only viable choice. Needless to say, both are going to be shocked, saddened and outraged all at the same time. Of course, ‘Young and the Restless’ fans will have to tune in to find out what happens next!
