CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers have some a couple of dynamic shifts this week as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) finally bested his arch rival, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). Of course, he needed Summer Newman (Hunter King) to do it, but that balances out since Theo was using a spy himself. This, of course, leads us to ask what’s next for Theo?

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers : Back to basics

Being fired from Jabot has made its mark on Theo, but more likely it was Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)’s words that set him straight. Theo brought the same practices that had worked for him in New York to Los Angeles, and it blew up in his face. His brief discussion with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) was telling as it explained to us why he was so competitive with Kyle. It may not have been anything personal, it’s just how it works in certain companies. With that knowledge gained, he’s off to figure out what to do with his life.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers : What’s Next for Theo?

In many ways, this could be a great opportunity for him as he can start fresh with another company or start one of his own. He could even change ventures completely and attempt to help Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) with her new restaurant. It’d be something different and he can get closer to Lola in the process. He may even take over a business or two in Genoa City, preferably one where Kyle likes to go. Just seeing Theo being successful and happy would drive Kyle crazy on some level.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers : But there’s another option

Theo could follow in Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)’s footsteps and look for ways to bring Jabot down or take it over. In some ways, Theo’s just like Adam. Both were ostracized from their families for one reason or another and looking for a way to redeem themselves. This is where things could get interesting. While he was only in Jabot for a short time, Theo learned a lot and has a contact there, so it’d make it easier for him to put together a package and offer his services elsewhere as a hired gun of sorts. He’d use what he learned and along with some insights into what Jabot’s planning, and he could make a legitimate go of it.

Who knows, with some luck he could become a legitimate rival or threat and that’s get under Kyle’s skin big time. And anything that annoys Kyle is a good thing, or so some of us at NBC “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers think. He’s just too… mopey. Even when he smiles he looks like he’s going to cry, so we wish Theo the best of luck with that. Anything’s possible in Genoa City, so what do you think will happen with Theo going forward? Let us know in the comments, and remember to check back with NBC “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
