CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that fans are being replayed some classics in light of a global pandemic and filming hiatus, we got a beautiful cameo from the late Drucilla Winters on today’s show! The African American beauty, played by Victoria Rowell, was a pillar of timeless grace in Genoa City. Since being introduced to the Y&R set in 1990, Dru has been the centre of some painful scenes. In 2007, she, unfortunately, passed away, leaving behind her daughter.

Dru Winters main storyline followed her romance with Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John). During the span of her relationship with Neil, Dru was brutally raped by Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore). The rape resulted in Dru’s pregnancy, and the birth of Lily Winters, who Neil adopted as her own. The beautiful ballerina ended up pursuing a career in modeling and was known for a feisty personality. Her notable friendships included those of Brad Carlton (Don Diamont), Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). She has a drawn-out argument with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

Unfortunately, her marriage to Neil doesn’t lack bumps in the road. At first, the two separate because Neil wants a stay-at-home-wife, and Dru wants a career. Down the line, Neil gets word that he isn’t Lily’s biological daughter and that Dru has held a horrific secret from him for decades. Before Sharon’s wedding to Jack in 2007, Phyllis tried blackmailing Sharon with her cellphone. Phyllis had proof that Sharon had an affair with Jack. Dru, sticking up for her friend, reached for the phone, and a struggle ensued. Both women fell off the cliff.
Sharon was later found – injured, but alive. However, Dru’s jacket was found, but her remains were not. She was presumed dead, as there were shallow waters below that could have swept her away. For the past 13 years, Dru has not made an appearance on the daytime drama. Over the decades, Dru Winters has been a reliable cast member that has constantly kept things interesting.
