CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that I don’t know what to make of Tanner Watts (Chase Coleman). Is he a good guy and truly just helping Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) with her career, or does he hide who he really is and we get glimpses? I can’t get a good read on the guy and go back and forth constantly. We know he and Tessa were married at one might, and so that might give him some level of comfort around her, but is it for the cameras or is it real?
Every time Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) tries calling Tessa, it always seems to be interrupted by Tanner. Most notably was last time Mariah and Tessa tried to video called, he was in the background with half his clothes off. We heard their social media posts were just for promotion and that it didn’t really mean anything, but Tanner seems to be enjoying himself.

However, there’s been a few instances where we spoke to Tanner and he seemed really mellow and relaxed. For instance, when he first came back to ask Tessa to join him on tour, he seemed really decent. Or when Mariah arrived on the plane to speak to Tessa, he opened it really well for Mariah to talk to Tessa. Are all his annoying antics just for show or is he really not a good guy?
I hope we get to see more of Tanner and maybe even his wife and get to see the real man. Half the time I can’t stand him and the other half he seems like a pretty cool guy. Maybe a little more screen time would show us more about his real self. What do you think? Is Tanner’s behavior just rock promotion? Or is he really kind of annoying?
