Phyllis has been called to the carpet by her children. Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Summer don’t want to have anything to do with right now. Phyllis is unable to see how she has hurt them.
She has kept interfering in their professional and personal lives, but she can’t see that she has done anything wrong. Summer misses her mom and wishes she could have a relationship with her again, but she knows Phyllis is still delusional.
Phyllis feels that everything that matters to her is gone and that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is the cause of her agony. She doesn’t see herself as the cause of her agony. Phyllis has decided that she should join Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) in his revenge campaign. She has nothing to lose.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: On Guard
Summer tells her husband Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) that her mother said she had a gift for their son. But as she was discussing bringing the gift, she was also trying to find out if Jack Abbott and Diane were home and where they went.
She thinks this is suspicious, but Kyle doesn’t necessarily think it is harmful. He wants to give Phyllis the benefit of the doubt. When Phyllis shows up, warning them that Jeremy Stark just took off to find Jack and Diane in Paris, Summer still feels unsure of her mother. Kyle goes to see if Stark did in fact board a plane, and he is able to confirm it with a call.
Summer is really suspicious of the fact that Phyllis had Kyle’s phone. Kyle thinks it is fine because he always leaves his phone everywhere and it is locked, but Summer is not sure. She isn’t sure that Phyllis is being honest about the message regarding Stark, but Kyle confirmed his travel. Summer just knows that they really need to be careful, because her mother hasn’t stopped hating Diane.
