CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers is saying that after quite some time apart, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) have rekindled their rocky romance. After a passionate kiss at Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) anniversary gala, and love making during an ice storm, the couple seems to have done what they swear they wouldn’t do: get back together. Despite this, their daughter, Summer, seems to not be supportive of the old romance.
At the Grand Phoenix, Summer Newman (Hunter King) is spending time with her mother, Phyllis, when a call comes through. Summer notices it’s her father, Nick, and declines the call. Summer immediately corners Phyllis. She calls her out for the romance. Phyllis denies any sparks flying and simply says that they are working together. However, Summer wants the truth, and she thinks that them getting back together would be a colossal mistake. Summer exclaims, “Can you not do this cycle again, please?”

Looks like the pair’s daughter is not in support of her family getting back together, after all. Phyllis shoots back saying that Summer and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) relationship doesn’t put her in a place to judge. After all, they are just as rocky and toxic. Summer storms out and heads to her father’s house to beg him to not get back together with Phyllis. However, Nick has taken the same stance, and uses Summer’s unsteady relationship with Kyle as leverage.

“You don’t get a vote,” he says, before he subtly pushes her out of his house. Shortly after, Phyllis shows up at the house and the pair talks about Summer’s meltdown. They aren’t sure how to handle the situation themselves, let alone provide answers for their daughter. Nick suggests that it may be time they get serious about their relationship. However, Phyllis jokes that it could just be good sex. Nick demands an answer from Phyllis, “What is it that you want?” What do you think will happen with the two? Will they get back together? Do you think their relationship will work this time?
