CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may have a tough and lonely road in front of her. She has just been fired for the second time by one of her children. She is burning bridges with them both professionally and personally. What will become of her now?
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Results of Meddling
While there is no love lost between Phyllis and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), they seem to take their plays from the same book. They like to meddle in the lives of their children. They believe they know what is best and that things need to happen their way. Phyllis was just fired by her son, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) because of her meddling.
She pitched his company to investors without his permission and while knowing he had a contract with Chancellor-Winters. She also headed to Portugal to try to help patch up his personal life. He wasn’t aware of this and is furious at her. She says that she wants the best for him, but her actions are only hurting his business and his chances to reconcile with his family.
Daniel is not the first of Phyllis’ children to fire her. Her daughter Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) fired her from her position at Marchetti. Phyllis could not put her hatred of Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) aside. This toxic relationship was not best for the company or for Summer and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) relationship. The couple found themselves weathering the animosity between their mothers and could not manage this.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Now What?
It will be hard for Phyllis to know how to proceed. She loves her children most of all and feels like she has only made decisions based on their best interests. She does not see how she has harmed them. A lonely and unfulfilled Phyllis will be a dangerous Phyllis. Someone who she is angry at, but equally fascinated by, is Tucker McCall (Trever St. John).
They both are often involved at stirring things up and something about Tucker seems to be enticing to Phyllis, even though she says that he is repellent to her. If they join forces, what could be shaken up in Genoa City?
What do you think Phyllis will do next? Will she be able to repair her relationship with her kids? Will she look for ways to stir up trouble with Tucker McCall? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
