CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are ready to close out the week in style with some interesting storyline developments.
This episode has a good mix of several angles, and it could be leading up down a road that’ll see the next true villain rise in Genoa City.
But first we’re going to see some more action involving the perceived threats to Genoa City as well as an attempt or two at peaceful coexistence.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For October 7: Nikki hits paydirt
After all her digging and plotting, it looks like Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is going to find some much needed dirt on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), but there’s a potential catch or two here.
For one, it’s from an unlikely source, which to ‘Young and the Restless’ sounds like it’s someone that’s closer to Diane and isn’t a fan of Nikki.
Or they could’ve heard Diane say something, maybe to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and will tell Nikki.
Either way, some information will be had and Nikki will most likely use it to try to pry more information from Diane or put her on the spot in the hope she’ll crucify herself.
It could be something Nikki will hold onto for later, or even information she was fed to make her look like a vengeful fool if she comes forward with it.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For October 7: Billy’s promise
This feels like a rehash of previous storylines/promises Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has made to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
The way things are going, we have a feeling Billy will promise her he won’t get involved in trying to help Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) as she’ll struggle to figure out what’s going wrong in her life.
Billy has a heart of gold at times, and he’ll want to help Chelsea despite his promise if she comes to him, so we don’t expect his promise to last long. If it does involve Chelsea, that is.
Of course, Chelsea will have her next attempt to make things right blow up in her face, and that’ll be what forces Billy to step in to help.
It’ll also be the first step to possibly push Chelsea further over the edge and latch onto Billy like a life preserver and it could be the start of her becoming the villain Genoa City has needed for a long time as she’ll want Billy or else.
