CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers is asking who did it better: Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) or Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott)? Viewers got a reminder of this nasty in-law rivalry during today’s pandemic flashback episode. As producers have been replaying classic Y&R episodes, we’ve seen all things love and war over the past few decades. Today we were reminded just how nasty things got between the infamous mother-in-law and daughter-in-law duo.
As I’m sure we all know, Sharon is best known for being Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) damsel in distress. Though, currently, they are divorced. Things didn’t always fall into place with Nick’s mother, Nikki, and her, though. Of course, let’s not forget that at one-point Sharon also dated Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), so can we really blame Nikki for letting her catty side out on the blond bombshell? Probably not.
In today’s episode, we are taken back to June 15, 2012, where Victor brings Sharon down to introduce her to the horse her bought her – which is ironically missing! Picture this: it’s 2012, Nikki has already been married to Victor a handful of times and Sharon has like three decades worth of history with Nick. Now, Sharon and Victor have somehow fallen in love? Gross.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nikki And Sharon Duke It Out – Both Get Arrested
Anyways, Victor leaves to call the police for the stolen horse, and Nikki returns. It’s just the two women in the stable, where they begin making innuendos about *riding animals I’ve already ridden*—double gross. The women argue about who is a natural beauty and who is a tramp, where things begin to escalate. Sharon ended up dunking Nikki’s head in a bucket.
The cops are called, and both women get arrested. Victor turns to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and asks if this can go away. It’s a hard no. (Let’s all remember that Victor just tried blackmailing Michael. Probably not the guy to ask a favor from). What did you think of the unlikely Sharon and Victor romance? Was it as cringe-y the second time around as it was the first?
