CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers find that the show might not be airing new episodes for many months to come, but luckily for fans, there will be an opportunity to see some of their favorite stars in the flesh. That’s because a ‘Young and the Restless’ fantasy event is being scheduled for September, with the hopes that it will be much safer to mingle with the cast of the soap, despite the global pandemic that is the coronavirus forcing everyone to shelter-in-place in their homes right now.
Currently, the novel coronavirus has infected over 3.3 million people worldwide. In the United States, over 1 million people have tested positive for the virus, with a death toll of 65,230. That number is expected to rise.

However, many states are now reporting that they have not only managed to ‘flatten the curve’ but have also reached the apex of the virus and that is why they are slowly, but surely opening up businesses again in several different phases and steps. That’s good news for the entertainment and daytime television industry, as the production of all four soaps has been suspended until further notice to help protect the health and safety of each soap’s cast and crew.
According to Soap Opera Digest, fans will get to see Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea), Bryton James (Devon), Joshua Morrow (Nick), Brytni Sarpy (Elena) and Jordi Vilasuso at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherlands on Saturday, September 12th.
