CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) were determined to bring Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) down after he chose Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to fill Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) position at Newman Enterprises. The couple jet-setted to Kansas and did some digging to blackmail Victor – and the plan seemed to work. However, the nasty dynamic duo appears to still be on a rampage, and we can’t help but wonder how badly it’ll backfire on them.
When Chelsea and Adam landed in Kansas, they enlisted Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico), a reporter to help them with their dirty work. Alyssa, daughter of loan shark, AJ Montalvo, helped them look into AJ’s death. After plenty of digging, the trio concluded: the loan sharks’ death was at the hands of none other than Victor Newman. Of course, Adam and Chelsea took this information and used it to their advantage. They flew back to Genoa City and blackmailed Victor to get control of Newman Enterprises.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Adam And Chelsea Wrong Alyssa – How Will Alyssa React?
Victor quickly folded his cards and handed the company over to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). However, Adam and Chelsea promised Alyssa that they would publish Alyssa’s expose for her help in the takedown. After all, she was a vital part of their dirty deed. However, on Thursday’s episode, we learned that the couple might have had other plans. Alyssa was complaining to Chelsea about how Adam hadn’t published her piece yet. Adam lies his way out of her rant, telling her that he has big plans for her expose. However, after she leaves, the truth comes out to Chelsea.
The couple toasts and remarks that Alyssa “won’t be a problem” due to their brilliance. We can’t help but wonder what they have up their sleeve. However, Alyssa was a considerable factor in Adam gaining control over Newman Enterprises. If they wrong her, will their plan backfire? After all, Victor likely still has a plan that will put Adam in his place. At this point, we can all assume that the future isn’t bright for Adam and Chelsea – rightfully so.
