CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers find that another classic episode was played for the show fans on Monday, May 11th. Producers took viewers back to June 30, 1998, with another riveting episode with the talented acting skills of the beautiful Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor) and a deeper plotline of the infamous Newman family. Over the past several weeks, we have seen Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) get married twice, and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) go through significant drama regarding the surprise news of Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes).

It seems to be a rough day for the Newman clan. Nikki learns that she isn’t actually married to Victor (again), and Nick is over his marriage with Sharon (kind of). Meanwhile, Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) is being blackmailed despite the fact he has already gone to jail for his poor decision making.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Does The Newman Family Ever Not Have Drama?

Victor admits to Nikki that he may have committed both betrayal and crime when he wasn’t actually divorced from Diane Jenkins (Alex Donnelly) when he married Nikki. However, in true Victor fashion, he had an explanation, and it was somebody else’s fault. Naturally, it was Michael’s fault. Victor responded by going to Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and stirring up a situation that was none of his business. Once Victor learned the truth about Christine and Michael’s problematic conduct, he saw an opportunity.

Next step: Victor Newman considers blackmailing Michael for his sexual harassment of Christine. As for the next Newman generation, Sharon is jealous of Nick working with her best friend Grace Turner (Jennifer Gareis). She put her foot down and told them not to work together—a flattering trait. What else do you think is in store for the Newman family this week of Y&R classics? Stay tuned to see where it leads Nick, Sharon, Nikki, and Victor!

(Spoiler alert: It’ll eventually lead to Nikki and Victor being married for the 110th time and Sharon and Nick separating and Sharon battling breast cancer with her new boyfriend Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso)).
