CBS ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers finds that Linsey Godfrey recently opened up about why she decided to leave the hit CBS show as her character Caroline Spencer, along with some of the earlier memories of her time there. Here’s what she has to say.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Lindsay, who now plays Sarah Horton on ‘Days of Our Lives’, said that she was sure she wasn’t going to get the part of Caroline when she first auditioned on the show many years ago.

The beautiful brunette recalled, “I was absolutely sure I wasn’t going to get the part. I called my manager and said, ‘They hated me.’ He said, ‘You’ve got a call back.’ I had never really auditioned for a soap. There’s a cadence with soaps and I was scared that I couldn’t figure it out.”
Thankfully, Lindsay got the job but that didn’t stop her from feeling nervous on the first day on the job. “I was walking into a show that was a year older than me with people who had been on it the entire time. You want to be respectful of that. It’s their home.
I didn’t know any- thing about soaps or soap actors. What I remember most was Joanna Johnson [ex-Karen], who played my mom, literally took me by the hand and walked me everywhere I had to go. I didn’t even go in my own dressing room, except to get changed. I stayed with Joanna the whole day,” she said.
Lindsay also opened up as to why she left Caroline behind on ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ to start a new chapter on ‘Days of Our Lives’. She said, “That was with Adam. We had to do multiple takes because we kept laughing and pulling away from each other. Doing anything where we had to be anything other than buddies was weird for us because we had established this silly, great friendship.”
