Police looking into the Idaho quadruple homicide claim to have uncovered a “potential animal hair strand” inside the residence of accused killer Bryan Kohberger, and they believe it may have a direct link to the scene of the killings.
According to a search warrant for Kohberger’s residence, authorities also collected a number of other noteworthy things during the raid, including objects with dark red and brown stains. According to the search warrant, there was a substantial amount of blood that was spilt inside the murder victim’s home, and police believe the murderer would have blood evidence on their person or clothing.
In Kohberger’s apartment, where police were searching for any traces of blood stains, they found a pillow with a “reddish/brown stain” and an object with a “collection of dark red” spots, according to the documents. There was a dog in the students’ home at the time of the murders, and the assassin spared the canine, so the hair strand might be enormous. The documents state that when police searched Kohberger’s apartment for hair, they discovered both possible human hair and animal hair.
Bryan Kohberger’s Home Had “Possible Animal Hair Strand” That Could Be Direct Link To The Murders
The night of the murders, at 4:17 AM, a dog was heard barking, according to the documents; the dog, Murphy, belonged to the victim Kaylee Goncalves and was discovered in her bed unhurt. A computer tower, a disposable glove, mattress covers, receipts, and a vacuum cleaner’s dust container were among the additional things taken from Kohberger’s home. Kohberger was a graduate student at Washington State University studying criminology, according to the documents, and police reportedly searched his office there as well. However, nothing was found.
The real knife was not discovered during the search of Kohberger’s residence or anyplace else, despite police claims that they discovered Kohberger’s DNA on a knife sheath discovered inside the murder house. Kohberger, who was detained on December 30 in Pennsylvania, is scheduled to go on trial in June and is adamantly disputing all charges.
