There has been some new developments in the #FreeBritney case, but none of them are what we want to hear. The judge in the case wanted Britney to sign a declaration so that the court had a first hand account of her feelings.
However, her lawyer, Sam Ingham, just stated that Britney is pretty much mentally incapacitated and unable to sign legal documents. He likened her to a comatose patient, where their lawyers have to speak for them.

Now keep in mind he didn’t say that Britney was comatose, as far as we know she is not. He just likened her mental capacity to someone who is comatose, meaning she can’t make legally informed decisions at the moment.

Also, the question of her career came up and according to Britney’s lawyer, she is completley done with performing. Of course, Dad Jamie Spears has something to say about that because he wamts her to resume her career.
But there are some sources out there who say that awhile back she was talking with her son, Jaden, and when he asked about her music she told him, “I tuink I might quit it.” to which Jaden responded, “Mom, do you know how much bank you make doing that?”
But even if Britney announced her retirement tomorrow she has ammassed enough of a fortune so that her Great Grandchildren would still have a pretty penny left. I don’t see what her Dad is worried about honestly.
Jamie’s lawyer said that Ingham’s statements sound like hearsay and said that while they were not trying to force Britney into court, maybe it would be best if she show up so that everyone could see where she was at. Britney’s lawyer didn’t like that idea one bit and simply said that conservativees could not file verified declarations because they lack the legal capacity to do so.
These statements are quite concerning though. Even if he later stated that Britney was not developmentally disabled nor was she on leave from any kind of state hospital or department of developmental services, it kind of makes one wonder just how bad Britney’s mental state actually is.
It has to be pretty deteriorated for the lawyer to compare her to a comatose patient. There is also what Paris Hilton said in an interview about Britney awhile back, “She’s so innocent.” And that they never talk a out the court case simply because Paris never brings it up but it makes me wonder if Britney does know the full scale of what’s going on. Her lawyer said she did but… I’ll believe it when I see it.
