According to reports, she spoke at length to Boris Johnson this week about the social distancing measures that will be put into place over the coming days. However, unlike the traditional meeting that takes place between the Queen and the Prime Minister, they chose to spoke over the phone rather than face-to-face.

Boris Johnson admitted that the reason for the phone call was to reduce the risk of infecting the Queen. London is already the worst-hit area in the United Kingdom. According to industry experts, travel to and from the capital will be impossible over the coming weeks, and potentially months.
The reports have also indicated that the Queen will be moved from Windsor Castle immediately to avoid the illness. Due to her old age and Prince Phillip’s health problems, they would be considered vulnerable to the disease, so protecting the royals is crucial.

It is believed that the Queen spent last night preparing her stuff for the move out of Windsor Castle. She typically spends her time at the location over the Christmas period and the summer. It was also reported that she took persuading to make the move as she didn’t want to cause panic.
