British Royal Family News finds that the Easter weekend typically means a big weekend for the royal family, but this year it will be unlike any other. The lockdown measures in place in the UK will mean that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be forced to spend the weekend at their Norfolk estate as they celebrate the religious day.

It has been revealed that they will have special celebrations with their children this Sunday, which will be helped by Kate’s parents, who run their own party shop. According to the reports, the current pandemic will not take over their plans to give their children an enjoyable day on Sunday.

British Royal Family News: Plans For Scavenger Hunt

If previous years are to go by, then the royal couple will likely put on a scavenger hunt for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Kate revealed last year to a young spectator that the parents hid Easter eggs around the house for the children to find, and that will likely be the plan again.

However, unlike previous years, this year there will be no service at church on Easter Sunday. The young royals haven’t attended that service in the past, but there were reports that this year could have seen Prince George attend for the first time.

British Royal Family News: Queen Unable To See George Or Charlotte

Due to the global pandemic and restrictions on leaving the house, it will be a sad day for Queen Elizabeth, as she will be unable to see the young royals on Easter Sunday. She would typically spend the day with the family, but that will not be the case this year. This year’s event is a complete contrast to the celebrations last year, as in 2019 they fell on the Queen’s 93rd birthday.

However, the Queen has shown over recent months that she is becoming particularly skilled when it comes to modern technology. That means that she will likely be able to communicate with the young royals over video chat on Easter Sunday.
