British Royal Family News suggests while there’s hope that Prince Harry could still work things out with the royal family that he left behind in London, there’s no turning back for his wife, Meghan Markle.
In fact, a new survey says that four in 10 Britons believe that the controversial new book, Finding Freedom: Harry, Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, has caused some significant damage for the Sussexes and the rest of the monarchy back in London. Here’s what you need to know.
British Royal Family News: Just How Much Damage Has Been Caused By Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Royal Drama?
According to the UK’s Mirror, a survey of 2,000 UK adults finds that 57 percent think the controversial biography Finding Freedom and all of the public airing of the royal couple’s dirty laundry and family members has been inappropriate, to say the least.
Another 67 percent say that they were saddened to watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship with Queen Elizabeth deteriorate in such a public fashion. If that weren’t enough, another 40 percent think that Harry and Meghan, who now call Los Angeles home, “have made their bed,” and that they should be exiled from the British Royal Family for good.
Finding Freedom, which has been heavily serialized by the British press this week, details all of the drama that apparently happened behind the scenes between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and the rest of the royal family.
The book suggests that Prince William called Meghan a ‘showgirl,’ Kate Middleton supposedly snubbed her sister-in-law and that the royal family did very little to help defend the Sussexes from all the hateful headlines that were generated by the British tabloid media. So far Buckingham Palace has made no official comments about the book.
