As a matter of fact, there’s a new report that says the Duchess of Cambridge and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex actually have a very close relationship and that they get along the best behind closed doors. While there were a lot of royal fans hoping to see Kate Middleton and Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle become the best of friends, that never happened. Instead, things between the Cambridges and the Sussexes became rather cold and icy, leading Harry and Meghan to make the decision to pack their bags and leave London for a new life in Los Angeles. But apparently the Duchess of Cambridge isn’t worried about losing out on an opportunity to bond with Meghan. That’s because she already has a strong bond with another royal family, Sophie Wessex.

According to reports, whenever Kate and Sophie are together, they like to exchange light-hearted banter together, while also proving that they not only work well with one another, but enjoy each other’s company, too. During a joint Zoom call together to help celebrate International Nurses Day, royal experts Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie said that it was more than apparent that Kate and Sophie could very well be the royal family’s newest and brightest ‘dream team.’
Fiorito even said that Kate and Sophie were often laughing together during their Zoom call During her podcast, she said, “I love seeing Kate and Sophie. The two of them really have a good kind of banter together and I love them tag-teaming things like this. I think in the beginning I felt Kate and William were mentioning homeschooling troubles and the challenges of it as a little bit of small talk. But I do think the recurrence of we need help keeps coming up. That kind of makes me laugh because the desperation is setting in.”
The royal commentators also said they would like to see more of Kate and Sophie together once the coronavirus lockdown has eased.
