British royal family news has revealed that there could be a date set for when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry return to the United Kingdom. The couple revealed when they left the royal family that they would be dividing their time between the UK and the US, but Meghan and Harry haven’t visited the UK for a number of months now.
Obviously, the main reason for that is down to the fact that the ongoing global pandemic has meant that travelling just isn’t possible. The couple were reportedly set to visit the UK over the summer months, but those plans were stopped in their tracks due to the restrictions in place in the UK. However, there could now be a new plan in place according to reports.
British Royal Family News: Royal Wedding Could Force Harry Home
It was recently revealed that Lady Amelia Smith has got engaged to her boyfriend. Smith has been dating her boyfriend for eleven years, and the engagement could mean that Harry’s return to the UK isn’t that far away. Smith is the daughter of Charles Spencer, and both Harry and William are reportedly very close to their first cousin.
The news of the engagement was shared on social media earlier this week, with Spencer revealing that he was extremely exciting for the future and wished his daughter all the happiness in the world. Spencer also revealed that he was touched that Greg, Smith’s fiancé, asked for his permission before getting down on one knee.
British Royal Family News: No Date On Wedding Just Yet
Unsurprisingly, there is not yet a date placed on when the couple are expected to tie the knot, but it would be incredibly unlikely that Meghan and Harry wouldn’t get an invite. Gary and Lady Amelia were both invited to Harry and Meghan’s wedding two years ago.
Lady Amelia and her family have been involved in royal engagements over the past ten years, as they were also in attendance when Kate Middleton and Prince William got married nine years ago. The family were also mentioned in the royal announcement of Archie’s birth last year. Does this mean that Meghan and Harry’s return to the UK is just a matter of time away?
