Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made bombshell claims about the royal family with their Netflix docuseries about their romance.
Husain Said That Meghan’s Claims Are False
BBC journalist called Meghan Markle out for her claims that the couple’s 2018 engagement interview was an “orchestrated reality show.”
Meghan complained that the distinguished Radio 4 presenter “wasn’t empathetic enough, wasn’t warm enough” to perform the interview.
It was rumored that Meghan said she wanted to be interviewed by Oprah. Three years later, she got her wish. Husain felt compelled to respond to these claims.
Husain said that the attack left her “bewildered.” And Meghan is not the “naïve victim” she behaves like. Harry and Meghan appeared to have thought carefully about the interview beforehand.
“When the Duchess of Sussex said that my engagement interview with her and Harry was an ‘orchestrated reality show,’ I didn’t know what to make of it,”
Husain said.
“They seem to have thought through what their new lives would be like and what marriage would mean for her life in particular.”
Husain said there wasn’t any indication that Meghan wasn’t satisfied with the interview.
“There was nothing that pointed to what would happen,” she said. It was two people who were full of joy in each other and life.”
During the interview, there were other warning signs that Meghan was a bold-faced liar. She said she “barely knew” who Harry was and wasn’t familiar with the royal family.
She knew enough to comment on her now-defunct blog, “The Tig.” In 2014, she harshly criticized Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding, saying that young girls should grow up wanting to be strong and successful, not wanting to be rescued by a Prince.
Proof Exists That Meghan Knew Who Harry Was Before They Were Set Up
Meghan said she grew up wanting to be She-Ra, Princess of Power.
“Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy,”
She mocked.
“Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate.”
Another clue she was lying is that Meghan said a mutual friend had told her that Prince Harry was “dying to meet her,” and Meghan responded, “Who’s that?”
However, mere minutes before, in the same episode, Harry and Meghan are seen reacting to an old interview of hers, which occurred a few months before they met.
The reporter asked Meghan to pick between Prince William and Prince Harry. She shrugged and paused momentarily before answering, “Prince Harry.”
The interview was in October 2015. So, Harry and Meghan’s docuseries prove that Meghan did, in fact, know who Harry was.
Meghan claimed that she didn’t have any control over their engagement announcement.
“It was rehearsed,”
She said.
“We did the thing outside with the press; we went right inside, took the coat off, and did the interview. It was all in the same moment,”
She explained.
“My point is that we weren’t allowed to tell our story because they wouldn’t allow it.”
Husain strongly refutes this claim.
“We know recollections may vary on this particular subject, but my recollection is definitely very much, asked to do an interview, do said interview.”
