July 1st, 2024, would have been the 63rd birthday of Princess Diana. She was born Diana Frances Spencer and was the daughter of John Spencer, Viscount Althorp, and Frances Spencer Viscountess Althorp.

Princess Diana Received Birthday Gifts From Her Fans

Diana famously married (then-Prince Charles) on July 29th, 1981, at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London and became part of the royal family.

Although most people think she stood strong enough on her merits. Diana was only 36 when she was tragically killed on August 31st, 1997.

Princess Diana is survived by her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, as well as five grandchildren, George, Charlotte, Louis, Archie, and Lilibet, whom she will sadly never get to meet.

Just two months before she died, she celebrated her final birthday at a gala in honor of the Tate Gallery’s Centenary in London.

She looked radiant in a little black dress she received as a birthday gift from her good friend designer, Jacques Azagury.

The Princess accessorized with a very regal sparkling emerald and diamond choker from the Royal Family Collection and a pair of drop earrings.

The necklace was initially gifted to Queen Mary by the Ladies in India in 1911. Queen Elizabeth gave her this remarkable piece of jewelry as a gift after her wedding to Charles.

    Diana on her last birthday

On her birthday, she greeted well-wishers who had gathered outside. They showered her with beautiful gifts and admiration.

Diana received more than 90 bouquets and numerous birthday cards. One of her fans gave her a small pink balloon featuring a cartoon bear.

Diana was one of the most beloved public figures in history. “The People’s Princess” was known for her genuine warmth and tireless generosity.

The best gift was from her youngest son, Prince Harry, who called her. He and all his classmates sang a spirited rendition of “Happy Birthday.”

Sarah Ferguson Wished Diana A Happy Birthday

William tries to keep his mother’s memory alive with his kids. He has hung pictures of her around Adelaide Cottage and frequently tells them stories about her.

Sarah Ferguson, who had a close bond with her sister-in-law, Diana, took to Instagram earlier today to share a heartfelt message with the late Princess of Wales:

“You were a pillar of light and love. And what a legacy you left behind. I will forever remember our laughter and the kindred, kind spirit I found in you. I am sure you are watching over always. Rest in peace, my friend.”

While Diana was married to Charles, Sarah was married to Prince Andrew. However, the two of them met when they were teenagers.

On Sarah’s podcast, “Tea Talk with the Duchess and Sarah,” in June 2023, Ferguson said,

“Her mother and my mother were at school together, and they were the best of friends. And Diana was my fourth cousin. You know, its just extraordinary that we were brought together.”

Diana was a force of nature and a beautiful person inside and out. Today, on her birthday, we should celebrate her indelible legacy, which William and his wife, Catherine, and Harry and his wife, Meghan, have built their work around.
