British Royal Family News find that it seems as though the royal family is more willing to go the distance for Kate Middleton and the nude photographs that a paparazzi took of her during her honeymoon with Prince William in 2012 than do anything over the racist abuse that Meghan Markle has suffered from the tabloid press.
In fact, royal critics are slamming the monarchy for failing to protect Prince Harry’s wife when she needed them the most. Here’s what you need to know.
During their seismic interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday, Harry and Meghan dragged the royal family and threw one bombshell after another in their direction for not reacting to all of the hate and vitriol directed towards Meghan while she and Harry were still full-time working members of the royal family.

Harry also told Oprah negative media around his growing family made him fear for their safety. He said “for the [royal] family, they very much have this mentality of, ‘This is just how it is. This is how it’s meant to be, you can’t change it. We’ve all been through it.'”
Yet, the royal family certainly stepped up to the plate when Kate Middleton needed them to sue the pants off a French tabloid back in 2017. A French magazine and two staffers were ordered pay the British royal family 190,000 euros, or about $226,000, in damages and fines after they printed topless photos of the Duchess of Cambridge in 2012.
A Paris court penalized Closer magazine and its editor, Laurence Pieau, and publisher, Ernesto Mauri, for circulating grainy images of Kate Middleton on vacation in the Provence region of France.
The pictures, taken using a long lens, showed Kate tanning at a beach house without a bathing suit top on. She was also photographed putting sunscreen on her husband, Prince William.
After the verdict, royal aides said the couple had suffered an “unjustified intrusion” and were pleased the judge had found in their favor. The incident was a serious breach of privacy, and their royal highnesses felt it essential to pursue all legal remedies,” a statement at the time said.
Yet, when it comes to all of the racist headlines targeting Meghan Markle, her family, her background, and even her son, not a word has been said. In 2019, host Danny Baker was fired by the BBC for tweeting an image of a couple holding hands with a chimpanzee dressed in clothes with the caption: “Royal Baby leaves hospital.”
