The husband accused of killing and dismembering his missing wife Ana, Brian Walshe, has entered a not-guilty plea. The day after being charged with murder and illegal treatment and transportation of human remains by Massachusetts authorities, Walshe made an early Wednesday morning appearance in Quincy District Court.
According to the prosecution, Walshe killed his wife around New Year’s Day, dismembered her body, and then disposed of the pieces. A bloodied knife found in their home’s basement was one of the pieces of evidence. In a dumpster pulled from his mother’s apartment complex, authorities also discovered a hacksaw, a hatchet, carpets, and a COVID vaccination card with Ana’s name on it in a nearby rubbish dump.

Additionally, according to the prosecution, Walshe looked up disposal methods for a 115-pound female body online. Additionally, searches like “How long before a body starts to smell” and “How to stop a body from decomposing.” were found on their son’s iPad.
Walshe allegedly paid $450 in cash at a Home Depot, where he is seen on surveillance footage purchasing cleaning supplies, tarps, and mops, in addition to the other evidence. Ana had warned the police that Walshe had threatened to kill her before they got married. Bail has not been set for Walshe.
Looking things like that up on your son’s iPad is creepy, and maybe there should have been some red tape when he threatened to kill her before the marriage. It’s a crazy story and we hope that Walshe gets everything that is coming to him. Rest in peace Ana.
