‘Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers find that before they became ‘related’ on screen in B&B, Ashley and Heather worked together on Bell’s sister soap ‘The Young and the Restless’. And Ashley was scared of “too cool for school”, Heather!
Ashley joined Y&R as a fresh faced 21 year old, slipping into the role of good girl, Megan Dennison back in 1997. By then 22-year-old Heather had been playing legacy character, Victoria Newman on the soap for seven years.
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Ashley Jones (Bridget Forrester) was totally intimidated by her on-screen Aunt Katie Logan (Heather Tom).
Speaking with Soap Opera Digest, Ashley was quick to say it wasn’t anything Heather did, but the fact that Heather could hold her own with greats like Eric Braeden (Victor Newman)-Heather’s on-screen father, both awed and intimidated Ashley.
Said Ashley, “She’d [Heather] been there a long time before I had joined the show. She was very confident and I was new to soaps so I really looked up to Heather in a lot of ways.”
However, it was a different Y&R and now B&B co-star who Ashley really bonded with. Ashley told Soap Opera Digest that Jennifer Gareis (Donna Logan) was like a big sister to her. Gareis played Grace Turner, Ashley’s character’s love rival on Y&R and now aunt on B&B.
So, what’s it like for Ashley, Heather and Jennifer now as they portray three of the five “Logan girls” (along with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle))?
“I love all of our Logan girls scenes” said Ashley “We always have so much fun when we’re all together.”
Ashley is on currently on a recurring status with B&B and was last seen when Bridget popped by the Forrester mansion in February.
Ashley has waxed lyrical about the character of Bridget Forrester, calling her the “moral compass” of B&B with a “heart of gold” she also revealed that anytime the soap asks, she will always return. “Bridget holds a special place in my heart, as does the show.”
There has been no word from Ashley, or showrunner Bradley Bell as to Bridget coming back to the soap full time, but what do you think? Would you like to see Bridget back on your screen more often?
