Not only is she a talented actress, but she’s also ridiculously beautiful and can call one of the hottest men in Hollywood her husband. But that doesn’t seem to be enough for Blake Lively as there is a new report that says she is set to direct her first film. Here’s what you need to know.
According to new reports, Blake Lively is to make her feature directorial debut with Seconds, an adaptation of Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley’s graphic novel of the same name. Per the Hollywood reporter, writer-director Edgar Wright, who brought O’Malley’s work to the big screen in 2010 cult favorite Scott Pilgrim vs the World, has written the script for Seconds and is among the producers.
Blake Lively Is Set To Direct Her First Film
The film follows Katie Clay, “who receives the power to fix her past mistakes via writing them down in a notebook, eating a mushroom and falling asleep.”
Just last year Lively made her directorial debut with the acclaimed promo video for Taylor Swift’s I Bet You Think About Me. The song is part of her re-recorded Red album. The music video featured Miles Teller, Chris Stapleton and Taylor (of course). Miles played a man trying to get over his ex, played by Taylor, but ends up seeing her pop up everywhere—even at his own wedding.
“I finally got to work with the brilliant, brave, & wickedly funny @blakelively on her directorial debut,” Taylor wrote on social media while teasing the music video. “Join us as we raise a toast, and a little hell.”
So far Lively has not made any additional comments about her new title in life, however, it’s been noted that her husband Ryan Reynolds is yet to make his own directorial debut. We will definitely update you with more details as they come in!
