‘Beyond The Gates’ (BTG) spoilers suggest that Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) is definitely a scorned ex-wife. Her ex-husband, Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett), is marrying her daughter’s best friend, Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings).
‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers: Dani Slapped Hayley In The First Episode
Dani and Bill were married when she was only 19 years old, and she gave up a successful modeling career to be with him. They share two daughters, Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) and Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla).
They were married for thirty years, and she knew Bill had affairs with other women, but Hayley was the only mistress Bill fell in love with.
Hayley’s mother died, and she never knew her father. The Hamiltons opened their home to Hayley when she had no one. Before long, Dani suggested that Hayley become Bill’s assistant, and the two of them began a torrid affair.
The premiere episode of the soap featured Dani giving Hayley a well-deserved slap. She had just found out that Bill and Hayley were getting married at the same country club Dani’s family frequents, and as if that wasn’t distasteful enough, they decided to move into Fairmont Crest, which the Duprees established.
Dani is fighting mad, and she desperately wants Hayley to pay for blowing up her marriage. During the February 28th episode, Dani goes to Bill to beg him to call off the wedding and come back to her. Of course, he turned her down.
Dani, whose parents forced her to attend the lavish affair, was humiliated and enraged. She was at the country club and seemed almost to be saying goodbye to her daughters, which hinted that something big was about to go down.
‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers: Viewers Heard The Gun Go Off As The Screen Faded To Black
At the wedding, when the priest asked the age-old question, “If anyone objects to this man and woman becoming husband and wife….”
Dani uttered, “I object,” and then the last thing the viewers hear is the gun going off, and the screen faded to black. We have to wonder if it was real or if it was the fantasy of a scorned ex-wife.
Fans can’t imagine Dani would be foolish enough to commit murder despite her venomous rage toward Hayley and desperation for her ex-husband, Bill.
We predict this is all taking place in Dani’s mind. She doesn’t actually shoot Hayley, even though she really wishes she could. Whether or not it was real (in soap land) remains to be seen.
However, you can bet that some significant drama occurs at that ceremony. We can picture Dani throwing the wedding cake on Hayley (a la Katherine Chancellor and Jill Abbott in Y&R style).
We can’t say we blame Dani for her twisted fantasy, and we hope we’re right about this. Dani may be a woman scorned, but a murderer? We think not. She’s too smart to play that game.
We have to admit, Karla Mosley has been killing it as the fierce and fiery Dani Dupree. She brings welcome energy to BTG, which makes the show worth watching. We are excited to see much more of Dani and the passion and spice she brings to the show.
