‘Beyond the Gates’ (BTG) spoilers reveal that Bryton James, who plays Devon Hamilton on The Young and the Restless, is slated to appear in Beyond the Gates’ first-ever crossover event.
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers: Devon’s Appearance Involves The Articulletes
Devon will visit Fairmont Crest this week (July 28 to August 1). A new promo for BTG shows Bryton James as his Y&R character, Devon, interacting with the matriarch of the Dupree family, Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie).
Also in the promo, Devon is seen entering the dining area of the Fairmont Crest Country Club, as he approaches the Duprees and shakes the hand of Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) as Anita Dupree gives him a warm welcome and says, “Devon, welcome to Fairmont Crest.”
Anita Dupree was a part of the musical group, the Articulettes, back in the day. However, the ladies in the trio had a colossal falling out, and Anita embarked on a successful solo career.
Her solo endeavor created a rift between Anita and the other Articulettes. Anita left her life of singing and music when she married Vernon. However, music remains a part of her soul. She still feels guilty about how everything ended with the girls.
BTG Karla Mosley, who plays Firecracker, Dani Dupree, shared a sneak peek on social media. On her Instagram account, she posted,
“Articulettes concert, more Dani drama (obv) and a Devon Winters sighting in Fairmont Crest?!!!! This looks like a week, y’all!”
The Articulettes are set to perform together for the first time in decades. Devon has much experience as a music promoter, and he’ll likely be there to help promote the concert.
‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers: Devon May Offer The Musical Group A Recording Contract
Devon has a very successful company that has a music division. He will watch the musical group and potentially have them sign a contract.
Music is a significant aspect of Devon’s life. His mother, Yolanda, was a groupie to his father, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). Tucker was a rockstar, turned corporate shark. He has music in his blood.
Our best guess as to why Devon is in Fairmont Crest is that it involves his ties to music and could offer the Articulettes a recording contract. However, James’ cameo on the soap has sparked an online frenzy.
Fans have their theories as to what brings the Y&R actor to BTG. Devon and Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) share the same last name, which might not be a coincidence.
Devon now goes by the name Winters, but he has the same last name as one of the most powerful men in Fairmont Crest.
There could be a storyline between Bill and Devon. Even though it’s only a theory, it’s still a fun idea to potentially explore. The length of Devon’s stay in Fairmont Crest is being kept under wraps.
James’s appearance marks the first-ever crossover between Beyond the Gates and The Young and the Restless. Fans know that there have been multiple characters who have crossed over from The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful and vice versa.
