Bam Margera expressed his frustration outside a court in downtown L.A., stating that his estranged wife Nikki is still preventing him from having face-to-face contact with their son, Phoenix, despite his commitment to maintaining sobriety and making positive lifestyle changes.
Bam emphasized the anguish he feels knowing that Phoenix is just a short drive away, yet he is unable to see him. He adamantly denies being the violent person Nikki portrays him to be.
His sole objective at the moment is to reunite with his son, but according to Bam, Nikki has only permitted a few FaceTime calls between them.
Bam Margera Staying Sober? Only Goal Right Now Is To See His Son
Regarding his sobriety, Bam explained that he is taking a different approach than traditional rehab centers, inspired by Lamar Odom. He surrounds himself with sober individuals, including coaches and supportive friends, to help him stay on the right path.
The court appearance aimed to determine the validity of Bam and Nikki’s marriage and whether California is the appropriate jurisdiction for their case. Bam revealed that their 2013 wedding in Iceland was allegedly not legally recognized due to residency requirements. The judge has yet to issue a ruling.
Nikki expressed her shock at the current state of affairs after over a decade together. She described Bam’s behavior as “extremely scary” and emphasized the need for consistent change before considering modifications to visitation arrangements with Phoenix.
We hope that Bam stays on the straight and narrow and is able to remain sober to see his son. In the meantime, though, hopefully he follows the court order and doesn’t fall off the wagon. Everyone is still pulling for him.
