What is Alec Baldwin trying to prove? That’s what a lot of fans can’t help but wonder as the Hollywood actor was spotted with Halyna Hutchins’ widow and son only a few days after he accidentally killed the cinematographer with a prop gun on the set of his new film, “Rust.”
Halyna Hutchins, 42, died after she was shot by the actor and later died from her injuries at a nearby hospital. But this weekend Alec was spotted leaving a Sante Fe, New Mexico hotel with Halyna’s husband Matthew Hutchins and their son, Andros. This comes after reports said that Alec was “hysterical and absolutely inconsolable for hours” after he killed Haylna.

One source close to the situation told People, “This was pretty devastating,” adding that Baldwin plans on canceling all of his future projects. “This is how he handles difficult times. Whenever something bad happens, in the short term, he removes himself from [the] public eye,” the insider added, but only after Baldwin was spotted in a very public photo op with Halyna’s family.
Of course, it didn’t take very long for the actor’s critics and detractors to weigh in on the matter.
Many of them wrote on social media, “It’s all framing the picture for the PR. Just like yelling ‘WHO HANDED ME A HOT GUN’ – immediately diverts blame away from himself. Narcs do not know how to act normally, they can do a good job after years of study of faking it, but when something unusual happens they haven’t observed that and don’t know how to fake it, and their lack of empathy for others and their all-consuming pity for themselves, mean they get it all horribly wrong. How does a child behave when they’ve got it wrong? Hurl themselves on the floor crying, hoping to elicit sympathy.”
Another critic put it this way, “I was appalled that all these people on demonstrations for better safety, all the people leaving flowers and going to a vigil, the actor who pulled a trigger – NONE OF THEM met this little boy and his dad at the airport and helped with the luggage, so this little boy could hold his daddy’s hand. And as a mum I want to scoop him up and protected him from this press intrusion. And I think it’s beyond disgusting that the poor child has been made to hug the man who killed his mother. Absolutely peak narcissist for a hysterical actor to make it all about him, not the little boy whose mother was killed. MAN-UP BALDWIN.”
