Alec Baldwin is once again changing the story and is now claiming that his ‘Rust’ contract makes him judgment proof in the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins and even more, he says it’s her fault that she got shot.
His lawyers have filed an arbitration claim alleging that his deal basically shields him from any financial responsibility in connection to her death and that Baldwin’s legal fees must be covered by the production as well! What happened here? When did Baldwin become the victim? Am I missing something?

In the documents, Baldwin says Hutchins is the one who told him how and where to hold the gun, so it’s her fault because she is the one who gave the instructions. His attorneys also said that Baldwin asked if Hutchins wanted the hammer on the gun pulled back in which the lawyers say she did in fact want him to do it.
So now Baldwin is going from “I never fired the gun” to “she told me to fire the gun”, blaming her and even taking money from the production to pay for his legal fees. Are we in a different world right now?
Even if the gun did magically go off in Baldwin’s hand, the way that he has handled this situation and acted like a 6-year-old who took a cookie from the jar and gets caught is absolutely nauseating.
Halyna’s husband, Matt is suing Baldwin for wrongful death. If I were him, listening to Baldwin talk about my late wife all the time like this, my stomach would be in knots 24/7.
As for liability because of Baldwin’s Executive Producer title, the lawyers say his contract indemnifies him. Besides, the lawyers say, Baldwin was just a creative E.P.
