ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal the truth is out! Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) long-kept secret was revealed when Sonny Corinthos (Maurce Benard) remembered who he really is. We see dark times ahead, but someone showed a surprising moment of compassion. Let’s take a look at how great these moments where, where it may lead, and how a certain character did the right thing.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Awesome work
First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Benard promised must-see TV ahead and he wasn’t wrong. We thought it was a nice touch that GH once more went into the supernatural/spiritual world and had Mike Corbin (Max Gail) once more visit his son. This time, it was to give Sonny the strength to fight for not only his life, but his memories of Port Charles. It was a touching moment between the two, but what came next was even better.
Once Sonny did emerge from the burning building and reveal he remembers everything to Nina, things got real. Nina was still stuck in her Nixon Falls fantasy and swore her love to Sonny and through this was a way for the pair to start over with a clean slate. She was so wrong.
Sonny got in her face and screamed at her not to say she loves him. And Watros was convincing with Nina’s jump back and wide-eyed reaction to his outburst. Watching Sonny turn his back on her and the medical advice to stay was a moving moment, as he showed that stubborn determination to get back to his family. Even Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) was helpful to Sonny and offered him a ride to a flight home. But there was more.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nice save
During the Monday episode, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) arrived in Nixon Falls, as he felt Nina gave him a coded message of trouble there. When they arrived, they obviously found the Tan-O destroyed and were pointed to the hospital.
That’s where Nina confessed to both that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was there. Not only that, but he’d been blackmailing her. She swore she’d called Liesl Orbrecht (Kathleen Gati), who promised to deal with the situation. Unfortunately, that never came to pass.
When they pressed Nina on the blackmail material, Jacks must have felt some pity. After riding her hard about the lie she’d kept going all this time and piling guilt trips on her, he must have seen enough was enough for now. He stepped in to say that the blackmail material wasn’t important right now. Finding Peter is more pressing.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What’s ahead?
Jax might have a new situation ahead. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate his relationship with Sonny has been antagonistic at best. Well, Jax did more than offer a ride for Sonny. He swore that, despite what Sonny might think, he’s glad Sonny is alive and well. Also, he made it clear he feels terrible for the things that happened to Sonny over the past year.
We think that their relationship will look different going forward. Jax offered some kindness and Sonny does respect kindness and takes personal debts seriously. If he also learns that Jax not only discovered the truth, but fought to bring it to light, he’ll likely appreciate that as well. So, we expect less fighting between them.
As for Nina? Well, she’s likely lost Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy). At least, for now. Phyllis was shook to learn what Nina did, so we see this as being a serious issue between them. We believe Phyllis will eventually forgive, but it will take a little time. We also see her possibly getting a new life in Port Charles or elsewhere, thanks to Sonny.
As we said, Sonny is loyal and takes these debts seriously, and he will definitely owe a debt to Phyllis. Given she lost her husband and her business, we see Sonny being a benefactor to her. Whether or not he’ll have to do it anonymously remains to be seen. If she digs deeper and learns more about Sonny and his alleged businesses, she will likely want to keep her distance.
Finally, we believe Nina will be facing a lot of anger and hate in Port Charles soon, so it’s possible we might see the character leaving for a bit to get away from the barrage of judgement. Especially Carly’s.
