ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal “Mike” (Maurice Benard) has had a long road to travel. Since arriving in Nixon Falls, he’s both entertained some fans, while frustrating others. In fact, the show has reached an 11-month low in ratings, attesting to how this plot might be received by the majority of fans. However, it looks like his journey might be over. Let’s take a look at what happened and what might be.

So, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal after that fight with Julian Jerome (William deVry), Sonny Corinthos (Benard) fell into icy waters. We’re still calling him surviving that and the week or so of exposure to the elements an act of the Soap Gods. But Sonny had more than the spirit of Mike Corbin (Max Gail) on his side. After Sonny was discovered, he fell into a great situation in Nixon Falls with Phyllis and Lenny Caulfield (Joyce Guy/Rif Hutton).
What he didn’t know was, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) knew exactly who he was and kept the full story from him. Of course, they fell in love and now, thanks to the arrival of Peter August (Wes Ramsey), Nina and Phyllis nearly died in a fire at the Tan-O, and “Mike” is currently in danger. But it was obvious he wasn’t going to die. What will happen? Here’s how we see it.

So, we had a nice touch of Thursday. Mike paid a ghostly visit to Sonny once again, giving him motivation to keep fighting as well as to remember. He said it was time Sonny faced his past and Sonny didn’t like what he remembered. We think this is going to have consequences going forward.
It was obviously by throwing away the watch that “Mike” didn’t care what his past was. He wanted his present and future to be in Nixon Falls. However, after seeing Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) in that vision, Sonny started calling out for her from inside the Tan-O. So, we believe he’ll want to go home to her, but we see a different Sonny going forward.
He was clearly not happy with the acts he’d committed in the past, and we’ve seen how attached he was to the peace he found in PA. So, we believe that he’ll carry a lot of that with him back to Port Charles. Maybe handle business in a different way, if he decides to go back to the business at all.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The big one
The biggest factor we can see in Sonny choosing a different path forward is the wedding of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers hint they’ll be married before Sonny returns to Port Charles, and we see a lot of drama ahead. In fact, Benard himself promised the return will be must-see TV.
We think he might somewhat understand the choice they made from a business perspective. However, we don’t see him understanding on a personal level. He could very well feel deeply betrayed and pull away because of that. Especially if he hears his daughter call Jason “dad”.
