ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal JaSam week continued on Thursday. However, honestly think this week has been far kinder to other characters. In particular, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has been getting a lot of air time in these episodes. It makes sense, as they are so closely connected. Let’s take a look at some standout moments and why we’d love to see someone back.

Starting off, we should obviously talk Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). While we have our reservations about them at this point, we do admit to liking their scenes tonight. Even if we did start thinking Sam was a bit mean. Let’s explain. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal the episode, from July 21, 2011, was significant to theme for a good reason. Jason proposed in this episode. He did a great job of setting up the space, and we both got a kick out of and were sad about Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) losing the engagement ring.

As for the proposal itself, we thought it was well-done, but we felt bad for the poor guy. Sam seemed to hesitate a bit and she went on a bit too much without actually getting to an answer. You could see Jason sweating it out, and this is a mob enforcer! Luckily for fans, she accepted eventually. But we noticed something interesting. Recently, ‘Days of Our Lives’ featured the couple known as #Cin getting engaged. Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) couldn’t afford a ring, so he made one out a part of Ciara Brady’s (Victoria Konefal) late father’s bike. He was apologetic and wanted to get her a real ring, but Ciara insisted she loved this and didn’t need anything else.
Given Maxie lost the real ring and Jason didn’t want to wait to get a new one, he presented Sam with a similar substitute. She had the same reaction, and we think that shows real love. Even if in their case, it’s getting to be a bad situation.

Meanwhile, there was Sonny. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal this episode marked a painful moment. Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) had decided to leave him because she didn’t like what he did to Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), as well as a dangerous situation that happened. Their goodbye started hopefully. Sonny had made it sound for a second like he was willing to move away with her. Unfortunately for them, he said everything except getting her a place to live was a lie. His base is in Port Charles. This led to her breaking down a bit and accusing him of not being the man she once loved. This is pretty much our only exposure to this character, and we have to say we liked it.
At first glimpse, she seems the complete opposite of Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). She doesn’t exactly approve of what Sonny does, and she thinks he’s too wrapped up in power. She is, to us, exactly the kind of woman Sonny should want to change for. But you can’t change a person, especially if they’re comfortable with being who they are. Carly, however, does seem at times to be a bit too into the power herself, so we can see where she is maybe a more negative influence as compare to Brenda. However, Carly’s own seeming love of the power (and her willingness to accept risk to her kids) also makes her a better fit. We really do hope that Brenda comes back at some point, because we loved the glimpse we got.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jarring moment
As for a bit of a jarring moment, we couldn’t help but get a kick out of Jax’s story. We’re not sure precisely what happened here, but Jax ended up having to leave Port Charles for a while. Before he did, he said goodbye to Josslyn Jacks—a very, very young Josslyn. As in, not really out of diapers yet. Seeing as this episode was less than nine years ago, it’s crazy to see that scene knowing the current Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is talking about college now. Gotta love that soap aging thing.
