Nikolas Cassadine is back in Port Charles and while there are certainly a lot of people celebrating his return, others have been left in shock. That’s because he did allow people to believe that he was dead for several years. In other words, not all of his family members will be willing to forgive and forget this little stunt. That is, everyone except for maybe Ava Jerome. She is one person who probably needs him now more than ever before. But with that said, will their relationship and marriage last?

‘General Hospital'(GH) co-head writer Chris Van Etten explains it like this to Soaps in Depth, “There was an obvious, immediate and deep connection between them that ended with them being abruptly torn apart before they could explore it. Nikolas is still upset with her for the actions she took while he was gone, but that connection is still there. But is it strong enough to overcome what they have done to each other?”
Knowing how Ava operates, there’s a very good chance that she will put her own needs in front of anyone else’s, with this relationship included. However, the honeymoon never lasts very long in Port Charles. Something is going to end up making this union explode into a million little pieces, sooner rather than later. Needless to say, ‘General Hospital'(GH) fans will have to tune for all of the action!
