On July 22nd, Benard took to YouTube to speak about the news going around about Kanye West. In the short video, he related that reactions to his tweet reaching out to the musician prompted him to come out and ask people to remember the importance of compassion.
We can’t know a person’s struggle unless we’ve walked it, and how we always need to show kindness and compassion. We don’t even have to look at any of the news stories today to know what the comments sections likely say. Sometimes, the internet can be a cruel place that is merciless in their judgement.
For Benard to come out and share such a message makes us respect him even more. Too often, especially now, people are quick and harsh to criticize, blame, or shame another person. Benard’s video is a must-see and a reminder that there’s never a time where we can’t show a little kindness. And sometimes, it just might save a life.
