ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal there’s a Cassadine war afoot. The story is, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) isn’t really a Cassadine. Of course, Valentin doesn’t really believe that. He thinks this is just a classic Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) trick to cause family chaos. To prove which claim is true, they’re doing a DNA test. Since Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is the control subject in this test, we thought we’d take a look at the character’s history for those of us who are new. Here’s what you need to know about Alexis.

Alexis is the daughter of Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos), a prince of both Russian and Greek descent. However, her mother was not Mikkos’ wife, Helena. It was a Swedish opera singer he had an affair with. If you wonder how Alexis got as neurotic as she is, you just have to look at her childhood. According to her character profile, she actually watched her mother’s murder at the hands of a vengeful Helena. Young Alexis developed amnesia from the trauma and was led to believe she’s someone else.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Wild child stays wild
We know Alexis gets around. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate each of her children has a different father. And these romances are about as twisted as her childhood trauma. For example, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is the daughter of Julian Jerome (William deVry). This was a brief teenage fling that turned into a long and messy romance in adulthood. He was involved in the mob and eventually crossed her path again under a different name. She actually tries to defend him during a case, only to find out he really was guilty. She’s so angry, she breaks things off and nearly is killed herself after trying to get evidence of his guilt.
Another fling was Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), who’d also had a relationship with Sam. If that wasn’t all, she also got involved with Sonny’s half-brother, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst). That actually makes Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) and Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) half-sisters and cousins. Only in soaps, right? These twisted situations led to a lot of problems for Kristina, who most recently ended up part of a cult.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Not worth it
In the Tuesday, February 11th episode, we saw how her family background and past affected her. While talking to Valentin, she suggested he’d be far better off if the test proved he’s not a Cassadine. She told him that money is cursed and ruins people, using Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) recent behavior as the perfect example. It seems she really is speaking from experience.
General Hospital spoilers indicate her bio proves it. After the drama of her childhood and being sent to boarding school, she finds out who she really is. Helena then decides to take over the Cassadine estate and uses her to do it. This ends up leading to Alexis accidentally killing her sister. No wonder she thinks the fortune isn’t worth it.
