‘General Hospital (GH)’ spoilers find that Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) continues to take a break from her acting career, as she recovers at home, following her brain surgery.

The star, who is best known for being on the hit TV show General Hospital, has remained fairly quiet since her procedure. This is understandable, given the severity of the operation and the complications that came with it. While it is not clear when she will make a return to the screen, she did give her fans an update on how she was doing.
In an Instagram post at the time, she had said: “So I’ve not really spoken about this much, or at all actually. Less than 48 hours ago, I had brain surgery, hence the neck brace. It was on the lower portion of my brain.” Kirsten has been through a lot. It has been well-documented that she has struggled with her health.
And yet, it was difficult for her to pinpoint precisely the nature of the cause. There had been worries about whether Kirsten had been suffering some form of cancer. Although that was ruled out in the end, the actual diagnosis did not make for good reading.
She added: “I had a very large cyst that had split into two…I spent the last few years having random health issues that I disregarded as side effects to my medications or just something I was experiencing due to age.” Nevertheless, she has managed to take steps to deal with the mental struggle of it all.
One of those ways has been to stay active on social media. That has allowed her to share her journey on her own terms and continue to interact with her fans. Not only that, but she has been able to follow the show that she has been a star on.
After all, fans will be dying to see her return. But to top it all off, she thanked those who were responsible for giving her the best medical care. She continued: “I feel very fortunate that my situation wasn’t more serious and that I had a wonderful neurosurgeon who immediately knew how to fix it.” Let us hope that Kirsten can make a full recovery.
