ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers indicate we learned a surprising fact about Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry). Honestly, this came so out of left field for us, and we’re glad for it. Normally, we just don’t find Jordan all that interesting. She usually seems a bit too uppity, and, while we haven’t watched long, her most exciting personal story has been dealing with medical bills. Not exactly something that makes for can’t-miss TV. The writers finally fixed that, and we’re glad. Here’s what you need to know.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dim the shine
Again, Jordan’s been pretty squeaky-clean and boring. General Hospital spoilers indicate she spends most of her time on screen doing boring things like worry about her son getting married too young, or being a bit self-righteous when it comes to some of the other residents of the town. A character needs something more compelling, and we’re sure any actor would prefer it as well. That’s why we loved seeing Jordan off the high horse a bit.
In the Friday episode, we learned that she does, in fact, have something sketchy in her past related to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). She revealed the truth to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). She was not only a right-hand to a powerful drug lord as part of an undercover operation, she bent the rules. We learned that they couldn’t get enough hard evidence of the crimes they knew he was committing. So, her team manufactured evidence of them to take Cyrus out. This had a huge effect on her future.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The real target
So, it’s not surprising and unusual Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) would make an enemy or become the target of someone who wants to expand. But the writers the mob war story up a notch and related it to Jordan’s past. It seems Sonny is just a random pawn. His true target is Jordan. And what better way to get revenge than pollute the Commissioner’s city with drugs? This is why we see the pair eventually teaming up.
While it doesn’t seem like a good thing to have Sonny in town, he’s actually the best thing to happen to it in some ways. He uses his power to keep drugs from infecting the town, and he doesn’t really go around causing trouble for the sake of it. We also saw why he’ll be a valuable ally this past week.

We think Sonny is Jordan’s best chance for stopping Renault. General Hospital spoilers indicate that when Sonny visited Cyrus a second time, the man seemed almost scared of him. In a blink-and-you-miss-it move, Cyrus went from being tough and cocky to trying to negotiate. But Sonny won’t. And he won’t stand a trafficker like Renault honing in on his territory. With the power and resources at his disposal, and his willingness to do the wrong thing for the right reason, we’re sure he can take Renault down.
Sure, we think Jordan will be resistant to this, but we think she’ll eventually see reason. Besides, she had to have learned from her secret mission that sometimes things don’t get done when you follow the rules. This might just see her embrace that philosophy.
