Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, ‘General Hospital’ co-head writer Chris Van Etten does admit that as much as fans love to see Ava and Nikolas together, at this point, it’s all about survival for the couple. In fact, these two are going to be squaring off between each other more than anything else.

Etten told the publication in a new interview, “Neither Ava nor Nikolas want to be married to each other. But they have to stay married to each other if they want to stay rich. They are both angling for ways to divorce each other and wrest control of the Cassadine fortune.”
With that said, it will be interesting to see what move is made next and more importantly, who will end up on top. As ‘General Hospital’ fans probably already know, Ava is one woman in Port Charles that you wouldn’t want to mess with. Sure, she’s made her fair share of problems in the past but at the same time, she’s a fighter. She’s also a warrior. But needless to say, ‘General Hospital’ fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
