ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that star Amanda Setton has announced that she is leaving the hit ABC soap, but that doesn’t mean she will be gone forever. In fact, the beautiful brunette says the reason for her departure is quite an exciting one. Here’s what she has to say!
Amanda, who is best known for her role as Brook Lynn, has revealed that she and her husband are expecting their third child! Actress Briana Lane will be taking over as the new Brook while Amanda is on her maternity leave.

Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Amanda is making sure to take all of the necessary precautions. “Thankfully, my husband and I are expecting our third child,” the actress explains. “Despite being really excited and eager to jump back into GH, due to the many unknowns with Covid and expectant mothers, it was advised for us to wait it out.”
Amanda also made it no secret that she will miss her ‘General Hospital’ family dearly while she’s gone. “I love being a part of the GH family. It’s not only a privilege to be a part of such a special legacy but it’s downright fun! From the crew to the writers and executives and of course my fellow castmates, I have missed and will continue to miss my interactions and collaboration will all of them during this time.”
We wish Amanda and her family the best of luck and can’t wait to see pictures of her new bundle of joy once he or she arrives. Talk about a very exciting time in their lives!
