ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that star Tamara Braun (Kim Nero) is opening up about her nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress for this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards. From learning about her nom to how she will get ready, here’s what she has to say.
When asked how she felt upon learning that she was nominated, the brunette beauty admitted that she felt both shocked and grateful. Tamara told Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, “I found out from a friend who sent me a text that said, “Um, would you look at that, congratulations,’ and she told me I was nominated. Then I received an excited call from Alicia Minshew with congrats. She let me know Rebecca Budig and Thorsten Kaye were nominated, too. The AMC gang! I am so happy for Rebecca. So excited to be in the same category with her! She’s wonderful! I’m bummed not to have a ceremony to go to because I’d want her to be my date. Think she would have been my date?”

As far as what her thoughts are on a virtual ceremony, Tamara offered, “I think it’s great. So much of our lives have become virtual nowadays. I think that it will be nice for the fans to have a place to watch the awards during this time. I will certainly go down in history, that’s for sure. Quarantined Emmys. Strange times.”
She added, “A ceremony would have been a great reason to wash my hair and pretty myself up. I find all kinds of reasons not to since quarantine. Wait – will I be on cameras? I still maybe have to wash my hair and pretty myself up! Do I need to get some fancy sweats? Awww… the pressure!
The 2020 Daytime Emmy Awards airs this Friday, June 26th and will be presented by Sheryl Underwood. Check your local listings for times.
